Wednesday...Daily Food Diary & Wednesday Weigh-in

Hello me lovelies

Sorry this post is late and i didn't get it posted last night like promised but yesterday i was out of all sorts due to my weekly weigh-in sicky feeling i get every Wednesday but yesterday was bad and this is what happened...
*hangs head in shame* 

Not sure why i was worried because i know i had a fabulous week and it was all for nothing because here's the outcome...
and look at what i have achieved...
Yay!! Got my Stone and half award and i also got "Slimmer of the Week" Double Yay!!

I haven't got my Stone and half certificate as yet as my consultant is waiting for her delivery of them but still I have my shiny sticker for what i have achieved :)

Chickpea Dahl Loaf...Tried and Tested

Hello me lovelies

I am here today share a recipe for the Chickpea Dahl Loaf which i tried and tested a couple of weeks a go after hearing other slimmers going on about how fabulous this recipe is and then i had a chance to taste this recipe at one of our taster nights at the Slimming World group i attend and thought i want to make this at home so i found the recipe online and off i went...well i made it, ate it and ate some more, love it!! 

Here's what it looks like...
The only bad thing i could say was i wish the curry taste was a little more stronger so the next time i make it, i am going to add some curry powder to make it that bit stronger.

This recipe is Syn Free on...Extra Easy and on Green
Hint: Please make sure your Chickpea dahl is a syn free version...the one i use is Asda Chosen by You Chickpea Dahl!!

Time to cook: 15-20 minutes for the rice                                                       Pre-heat oven to: Gas 5
                        5 minutes to mix the mixture = 45-50 minutes overall
                        25 minutes for loaf

Recipe
1 pkt Batchelors Mild Curry super rice
1 tin Asda Chosen by You Chickpea dahl
3-4 Eggs {depending on size}, beaten

How to make
1) Make the rice up as directed on the packet.
2) Add the chickpea dahl and the beaten eggs to the made up rice and mix well.
3) Add the mixture to a silicone loaf tin which has been spray with frylight.
4) Now put into the oven for 25 minutes at Gas 5.

Tuesday....Daily Food Dairy

Hello me lovelies

How are we all today??

I have had another busy day which meant i missed my exercise today which i not happy with so in morning i will be on it and get it done...i thought i would be able to fit it in this afternoon but ran out of time before i had to take my sister dog to vets.
He had to be there for 3.40 pm and we was told the poor little pooch has eczema and needed to have antibiotics and steroid spray...it looked ever so red but tonight i popped around to see him and it didn't look so bad, phew!!

Today has been a good day food wise but to be honest i think i've had a good week but lets see what weigh-in says tomorrow night...oh and its taster night too!! Yay!!
Taster night is where all us slimmer's in our group will make something and bring to group so we can all have a try...its a right feast Lol

Right me lovelies enough of my waffle and here's what my food looked like today...
Breakfast
Coffee made with sweetener and part of skimmed milk allowance {HEA}
Muller light greek style coconut with a hint of vanilla yoghurt {0.5syns}

Dinner
Coffee made with sweetener and part of skimmed milk allowance {HEA}
Batchelors Thai sweet chili super rice {free}
Muller light skinny cappuccino yoghurt {free} 

Tea
Batchelors mild mexican super rice {free}
2 Quorn Beef style & sweet red onion burgers {free}

Supper/Snacks/Puddings
Muller light banana and custard yoghurt sprinkle with 1 Alpen light choc fudge bar {half HEB}
Alpen light summer fruit bar {half HEB}
2 Doughnut peaches {free}

Monday...Daily Food Diary

Hello me lovelies

I can't believe i am on my 2nd week of food diary's, its past really quickly and to be honest i am loving it and it keeps me on track, i am also keep an online diary on Instagram so if you would like to follow me on there my name is @thisismylittlejourney and update throughout the day with photo's of what i eat or things i get up too.
I have been sat here today thinking about why i want to lose weight and thought about sharing them with you...
1) For myself because i am not happy with the way i look and feel!!
2) For my otherhalf and my boys because i feel they miss out on so much because of my paranoia and feeling i can not do certain things because of my size. 
3) I have Type 2 Diabetes and i would like to reduce my HbAc1 levels.
4) To live a healthy life.
5) I would love to ride a bike which i have not done in a long time and i mean a long time!!

I love those Classic bikes with the wicker baskets on the front so my aim to get myself one of those for when i have lost lots of weight or maybe that could be my big target weight present to myself...we'll see if i can wait that long Lol

Anyhoo me lovelies i have waffled on long enough, here's what my food looked like today...

Asda ranch salad excluding the sauce and bits {free}

Muller light smooth toffee yogurt with a banana {free}, sprinkled with 1 tsp maple syrup {0.5syns} 1 broken up Alpen light choc & fudge bar and 1 one more bar for snacking on later {HEB}

Sunday...Daily Food Diary

Hello me lovelies

Hope you all have had a fabulous relaxing Sunday!!

I have but it didn't start that way Lol I got up, fed the boys, helped my 16 yr old clean his newly pierced ears {he's planning on stretching them!} and then i got on with doing my exercising on the Wii for 31 minutes...its not long for some but it is to me when i haven't done any exercising in my life except walk!!
Afterwards it was the case of getting a shower and then have my brekki while otherhalf sorted everything else out and then get ready to pick my sis up to go to our parents for our dinner/tea...it was yummy :)

Also shaved my Dad's hair today because the barber he normally use's has closed for a bit or maybe for good, not sure as yet...anyhoo pleased to say he was pleased of what i did, omg i was soooo nervous doing it though it was probably in case i went wrong or something went wrong but it didn't  Lol

 Right enough waffling because i want to get settled down to watch a bit of tv before bed so here's what today's meals look like...
I din't have any dinner again today!!

Breakfast

Saturday...Daily Food Diary

Hello me lovelies

Today i had a fabulous day because...
We had a great time treating ourselves...me thinks we need to do it more often!!
We got ourselves some vest tops and leggings to lounge around in at home and to do our exercise's too...we got ourselves a few other things while we was out but nothing really exciting Lol
Tonight my legs are aching after all that walking today...wonder how many calories i burned off! Hopefully it will be loads and i will have a good weight loss on Wednesday Lol

 Right enough waffling, here's what today's meals look like...

Friday...Daily Food Diary

Hello me lovelies

Sorry i am late tonight but i've had a busy day today getting the boys up, brekki and rest of the usual chores of getting them ready or least making they are getting themselves ready because they are all old enough to sort themselves out before taking them to my mum's because they don't like shopping but it's okay for me to do it all and then before i left they gave me their orders of what they would like...cheeky beggers Lol
 So off i went armed with 2 shopping lists one for me and one for my sister to do our food shopping, came home put it all away and then went back to my mums to pick the boys up, came home and cooked tea before going out to my weekly craft get together with friends so i've not had time to do anything until now so i am going to keep it short but sweet.

Here's what my meals looked like today...
Breakfast
2 Weetabix
Sweetener
Part of 250ml Semi Skimmed milk {HEA}
Muller light greek style lucious lemon yogurt
Sugar Free summer fruit juice

Dinner
Missed

Ham and egg omelette
Asda Ranch salad with the sauce etc

2 tbsp Asda reduced fat salad cream {2 syns}

Thursday...Daily Food Diary

Hello me lovelies

I got up this morning feeling fabulous, pain free and ready to start my day but very soon after i got up the pains in my knee's and hands kicked in so i was a little gutted but then i thought hey don't let this ruin your day girl!!
So i thought first thing first and that was to have my breakfast so i then could take my tablets for my arthritis {yuk} i so hate taking tablets but hey it has to be done or i would suffer. 
As it was gorgeous outside i decided to sit in the garden to eat my brekki along a cup of coffee but the gutting thing was i had to have full fat milk which i was not happy about because i normally have skimmed milk {don't worry it was measured} but the boys used my milk for their brekki...don't understand why they didn't used the full fat so not a happy bunny with them.
Anyhoo this afternoon after feeding my sister's dog Samson we went to see Lee's {my other half} parents and then onto my parents for tea so we had a very busy day but not tonight we are having a relaxing night watching telly and me writing this post as we speak Lol

Right i think i have waffled on long enough, here's what my meals looked like today...
Breakfast
2 x Weetabix {HEB}
Part of 175ml Full fat milk {HEA}
Chopped apple
Sweetener
Coffee made sweetener and rest of milk allowance 

Dinner
None

Tea
2 x small jacket spuds
Chicken
Salad - lettuce, yellow pepper, tomatoes, beetroot, cucumber
2 Eggs
30g Cheddar {5syns}
2 tbsp Asda reduced fat salad cream {2syns}

2 x Alpen light chocolate and fudge bars {6syns}

Wednesday Weigh-in and Daily Food Diary

Hello me lovelies

I have had another relaxing day today, just chillaxin in the garden with my kindle again soaking up the rays which was nice and it was so peaceful, thanks to the Wii because it kept the boys occupied but before i could relax i did my exercising on my Wii Fit plus and here's a little challenge i set myself...


As it started to get close to tea time my weekly sicky feeling started to kick all because it was weigh night, i go through this every week and not sure why just hope it will eventually stop...we'll see!!

Well i said it was my weigh-in tonight and here's my progress...


Yay!! It was a loss!! 
Just to let you know the sicky feeling soon went after getting weighed!!

As for my food diary, here's what food look like today...

Tuesday...Daily Food Diary

Hello me lovelies

Today has been a bit of a strange day i felt tired and really achy not sure why, anyhoo that meant exercise was out the window today but will be back on it tomorrow...i promise!!

Before i started this lifestyle journey i had a very strange eating habit of only eating maybe once or twice a day and that was on a night so when i decided to change my lifestyle i thought it would be best to make small steps along the way...one was joining Slimming World, two eating 3 meals a day, three was adding exercise in my life.

Now as you all know i joined Slimming World which is going fab, i started adding exercise into my life {only just i might add} but i was struggling on having 3 meals a day, i wasn't going to give up and kept on tackling this little problem...i am pleased to say that for the last 2 days it's been a little different and perseverance has paid off because i managed to eat 3 meals each day {YAY!!}

This is what my meals look like to today...

Breakfast
Muller light Greek Style smooth tempting toffee {0.5syns}
Apple

Dinner
Jacket potato with curry beans and leftover SW syn free pasta quiche

Tea
SW syn free chips with grilled chicken and peas

Snacks
2 x Alpine light Summer fruit bars

Monday's...Daily Food Diary

Hello me lovelies

I decided i am going to a daily food diary...some with pictures and some without, just depends on how busy i am plus i will let you know if have done any exercise whether it's on my Wii Fit plus or a dvd that i have, I just think it will help me keep on track with everything!!

Today i have just had a relaxing day and spent time in the garden with my kindle reading and then this afternoon i made a Slimming world Syn Free quiche ready for my meals.

Here's a picture of a piece of the quiche and everything else i had for my dinner today...
It was really yummy and i still have left over quiche for tomorrow's dinner and tea...nom nom nom!!

Extra Easy Plan

Breakfast
Apple and banana

Slimming World Syn Free pasta quiche - made with Batchelors Chicken & mushroom pasta sauce excluding milk and butter
Asda Ranch Salad excluding the sauce and crumbs {sorry not sure what they really are Lol}
Roasted new potato's seasoned with Celery salt
30g Grated cheese {HEA}
2 x tsp Asda chosen by you, reduced fat {2 syns}

Did 20 mins on the Wii Fit and i burned about 150kcals {i think!!}

Slimming World Awards...

Hello me lovelies

I started my Slimming World journey on the 4th June 2014 on the Extra Easy plan which you already know i am loving, anyhoo i wanted to let you know what have achieved so far...

11th June...-4.5lbs
18th June...-4lbs
25 June...-6lbs
2nd July...+1lb
9th July...-1lb

so altogether i have lost...1st 1/2lb {yay!!}

Yes i did get weighed last night but i will share that in another post...promise!!

Here's the awards i have received so far...

I also received stickers to put onto my book plus 2 fabulous fridge magnets and a cup which all have quote's on...

Hello and Welcome

Hello me lovelies

Some of you will of noticed my blog name has changed this is because i have been thinking good and hard about sharing my new journey with you so i thought what the hell...just do it!! Lol
So from now on i will no longer be sharing my Art Journalling, digital scrapbooking etc on here any more but if you still would like to see them, then please head over to my Crafts blog which you will find the link on my sidebar.

This is my little Journey

After finding out i had Type 2 Diabetes i decided it was time to lose lots of my excess weight i carry around with me so i joined Slimming World and i have been following the Extra Easy plan for about 7 {sorry it's 6, not 7} weeks now and i am loving it {YAY!!}

I bet your wondering why i decided to share my experience with you...well i thought it's a way of helping me but also helping you guys too!!

I will share my loss's, gain's and maintains with you, awards i receive and when i feel more comfortable with this i may share photo's of myself and maybe my weight but that's a long way off at the moment as i still don't feel brave and ready for that step yet.

I then decided that i will share Slimming World recipe's that i have tried and tested and these post's will contain photo's of what i have cooked too, i will also share any hints and tips that i come across on my journey.

I will do a post every Wednesday night which will be called Weigh-in Wednesday, this will keep you informed of my progress on my little journey, then on other days i will share other Slimming World things with you but only as and when i can as i am a busy mum to 4 very active boys.

Anyhoo me lovelies i think that's enough waffle from me...for now anyway Lol
